A survey of more than 1,200 Americans by Lombardo Homes asked: What is the top cause of your frustration with your neighbors? Among the answers, making noise is ranked as the number one nuisance, even for people living in apartments, houses and townhouses. Loud music, talking and shouting, and noisy pets are the top three noise-related complaints.

Everyone has a different tolerance for noise. Experts recommend doing what you can to minimize the sound coming from your home or apartment.

Pet

Dogs and cats can be your pets, but they can be a nuisance to your neighbors, especially if you don't handle their waste, odors and barks and calls.

According to data from Lombardo Homes, leaving waste on the street or in someone else's yard is the second most annoying thing for neighbors. Live a sloppy, indiscriminate life
