ASRock unveils X670E motherboards optimized for AMD Ryzen 7000-series CPUs

As planned, until the end of the year, AMD's new generation of desktop CPU products - Ryzen 7000-series - will be officially open for sale. However, ASRock has taken a "short cut" move when it introduced new X670E motherboard models specially optimized for AMD's high-end processor line, with the biggest highlight being the ability to support. socket AM5 has been long awaited.

As an "extreme" variant, the X670E series motherboards feature up to 28 lanes of PCIe 5.0 support everywhere, on both primary and secondary PCIe slots as well as on the M.2 storage slot. All five models in ASRock's X670E series are ATX-format boards.

Leading the lineup are X670E Taichi and X670E Taichi Carrara. These are also ASRock's top motherboard models at the moment. The Taichi series has an impeccable configuration with two PCIe 5.0 x16 slots, four M.2 storage slots including a heatsink and fan for cooling, USB4 support, Killer WiFi 6E and 2.5G Ethernet integration. , and especially the eye-catching "armored" DDR5 slots. Meanwhile, the Taichi Carrara variant is a special edition 20th anniversary of ASRock, possessing similar specifications, but "decored" by a heatsink that simulates a marble motif. Very eye-catching Carrara jelly.

At the bottom are the X670E Steel Legend and X670 Pro RS models. Both include one PCIe 5.0 x16 slot, but incorporate several other options on the remaining PCIe slots. Steel Legend converts one of Taichi's PCIe 5.0 x16 slots into a PCIe 3.0 x16 slot and a PCIe 3.0 x1 slot. While Pro RS has two PCIe 4.0 x1 slots. Both boards include DDR5 with reinforced steel slots, four M.2 storage slots, AMD RZ616 WiFi 6E, and Dragon 2.5G Ethernet.

Targeting the relatively "popular" segment are two X670E models, the X670E PG Lightning. PG Lightning removes most of the heatsink shroud, but still offers a decent amount of PCIe slots. Next to the required PCIe 5.0 x16 slot are two PCIe 4.0 x16 slots and one PCIe 4.0 x1 slot. There are also four M.2 and Dragon 2.5G Ethernet storage slots.

In summary, there will be 6 motherboard models introduced by ASRock in the X670E product line, including:

X670E Taichi Carrara
X670E Taichi
X670E Steel Legend
X670E Pro RS
X670E PG Lightning
The specific selling price and opening time of the product will be announced by ASRock in the near future.
