AP (Advanced Placement) program is recognized and used by many universities around the world as a criterion for scholarship consideration.
AP is designed by the American College Board (College Board), often referred to as an advanced class or a college preparatory program. The program includes 6 majors, including: Arts, English, History and Social Sciences, Mathematics - Computer Science, Science, Languages and World Cultures. In addition, students receive two additional college-level academic skills courses (AP Research and AP Seminar).
The program offers college-level courses and exams for high school students. Specific criteria for obtaining an AP certification may vary, depending on the institution or institution.

"This program is widely recognized around the world because the subjects taught in the program are equivalent to the university level, helping students' applications to study abroad stand out," he added.
ISHCMC-AA is also one of the first schools in Vietnam to train this program. To date, many students here have accepted to study at more than 50 universities worldwide and won more than 5.5 million USD in scholarships by 2023.

In particular, Tran Le Hai Trieu (class of 2023) received a valedictorian diploma at ISHCMC-AA and enrolled in four top universities in the US, including: University of Texas (Austin), UC Irvine, UC San Diego and Drake University for a total of $108,000.
She is an excellent student of the AP College Foundation Program, excels in most subjects, and at the same time, actively replenishes her luggage with extra-curricular activities such as organizing a High school Prom party, participating in "All-gender bathroom" project or fundraising projects as a member of the ISHCMC-AA Student Leadership Council.

During her studies at ISHCMC-AA, Hai Trieu liked to listen and share the problems her friends faced, so she found herself quite suitable for the Psychology major. With the guidance from Mr. Williams and the opportunity to work as an assistant in the Psychological Counseling department at the high school, the female student understands this field better and is determined to pursue it when going to college.
According to Hai Trieu, the whirlpool of invisible pressures and the "dark" materials of life make people's mental health gradually become unstable. Meanwhile, the field of Psychology in Vietnam is still quite new and most of the experts in the field are from other countries with different understandings of Vietnamese culture and society. That forms barriers to communication and understanding in the process of listening and psychological healing for Vietnamese people.
