Top 10 Computer Science Universities in the World

Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) of the US is ranked first in training and research groups in Computer Science and Information Systems in 2023.

 

According to the QS World University Ranking by Subjects 2023 (QS World Ranking by Subjects), MIT holds the number one position in the world for the fifth time in a row in the group of Computer Science and Information Systems with 94 ,5 points, up 0.4 compared to last year .

 

This score is given based on the following criteria: academic reputation; the university's reputation as assessed by employers; the average number of citations per paper and the H-index measuring the productivity of scientific research and the impact of publications; IRN (International Research Network) index measures the effectiveness of research collaborations with international partners..

The next three positions are also representatives from the US, including Carnegie Mellon University, Stanford and the University of California at Berkeley. The country has another university in the top 10, Harvard University (8th).

 

The UK and Switzerland both have two universities in the top 10. The UK has the Universities of Oxford (5th) and Cambridge (7th), Switzerland has ETH Zurich (9th) and EPFL (10th). These schools all hold high rankings on the rankings of many institutions.
